As long as I can remember, I'd been using disposable
water bottles (PET bottle) for drink. Perhaps our “long relationship” began
when I was in junior high. It just felt like bringing reusable bottle (e.g.
those made of stainless steel, glass, or aluminium) was quite burdensome as I
had to take care of it. Hence I just preferred buying bottled water at school
or refilling the PET bottle at home for later use. Using disposable water
bottle for drink seems so practical as it doesn’t break easily due to its plastic
flexibility and I don't need to worry if I lose it somewhere... XD. However, that was before I realized there are actually more negative
sides of using PET bottles than the benefits it gives us. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Since I was used to drinking from refilled PET bottles, I
knew how it was like when the plastic material was about to expire. The
plastic, which is supposed to be clear/transparent, turns blurry and a bit
rough when touched. Moreover, if it smells weird then it’s obviously the time
to get rid of it. What awakes me to quit refilling PET bottles for drink is the
fact that research has indicated that some materials used for commercial PET
bottles are able to release toxin or harmful chemical substances if exposed to
direct sunlight or high temperature which, of course, will contaminate the
liquid inside it. Even some say that consuming refilled PET-bottled beverage
frequently could increase the risk of getting cancer due to the accumulation of
toxin from the plastic. That is the reason why it is not recommended to use the
same disposable plastic bottle repeatedly.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Besides, PET bottle is non-degradable. It is one of the major
causes of soil pollution. According to Wikipedia (<i>Plastic pollution</i>, 5 May 2013), <b>Methane</b>, which is a very powerful
gas that increases damage to the Earth’s ozone layer, is released when plastics
are being broken down. Thus, please stop throwing away plastic bottles
carelessly. Instead, put it into the appropriate recycle bin or for the
creative you, there are many <b><span style="color: #274e13;">green</span></b> DIY projects out there that help to recycle plastic
bottles. Now I choose reusable food-grade bottle that is safer and more
environmental-friendly for drinking at work. What’s more, I can save my money
from buying something that I can get freely from home <span style="font-family: Wingdings; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;">J</span><br />

<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I am writing to express my feeling of disappointment toward
today’s reality. Everything seems so cruel today. There are a lot of unfair treatments
done by superior persons to those who are still begging for help and justice. I
suppose this time I’m a bit emotional…but I just can’t help it!</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Huff... what
have made me this mad is an incident told by a colleague of mine, Ms. Rafita.
She is an alumnus of a state university in Medan. The incident happened to one
of her friends who has not graduated yet. Let’s say her friend’s name is Ann. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Ann was a girl who had been working hard to complete her
thesis writing. She knew her parents, who are only common farmers/villagers,
were proud of her for being a state university student. They also had been
trying to earn money to support her education in the city. Thus, Ann wouldn’t
want to disappoint them by failing the thesis exam. Furthermore, graduation is
a pride for Bataknese people and this was one of the reasons of Ann’s
perseverance in doing her thesis.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Yet, her hard work was not appreciated by her lecturers, who
thought they could do anything with their authority in hand. Her thesis was
rejected again and again by the lecturers with ridiculous reasons. Ann was
tired and down. Because of this, she felt sick due to months of struggle. She
suffered from Appendicitis. After appendix surgery, everything did not get back
to normal. Else, another illness appeared. One thing that I have to emphasize
here <b>:</b> medical skill in Indonesia is still wretched. I think this is why Ann was
admitted to hospital again because of post-surgery complications. Her
parents also consulted traditional medication for her beloved daughter.
Unfortunately, not long after that Ann died without a chance to finish her
study. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I was upset, shocked, and angry after listening to Ms.
Rafita. She had also cried all night long for her poor friend, Ann. To me, it
is a real irony that people (in this case, Ann’s lecturer) who think they are
educated and superior enough to control others, are in fact the cruelest
creatures that can hurt and even take innocents’ lives away. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Here, I would like to express my deepest condolence to her
family. </div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457083176577842702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3034459773426783475.post-48206926174387557782012-02-09T01:26:00.001+07:002012-02-09T01:26:40.973+07:00Something new for youHelloooo! I'm back! Hahaha....<br />
<br />
Looking back on the previous post makes me wonder how I had been so busy. I'd even lost my interest in blogging. There were abundant things to be dealt with and I was totally distracted from writing my blog. However, now finally everything has begun to slow down so I can breathe more easily and continue writing here...huff!<br />
<br />
Well, this time I would love to announce that I have published my second blog (hooray!) but it does not mean I'll close this one, haha... I'm still glad to share with you something great that is not related to my second blog here.<br />
Please click <a href="http://wmeatb.blogspot.com/">here</a> to find out more about me and what I'm addicted to recently, hehe...<br />
<br />
Also, once again thank you so much for visiting my blog ! <br />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457083176577842702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3034459773426783475.post-33096239602202168962011-02-07T19:58:00.008+07:002013-06-04T15:45:36.001+07:00What a fantastic story!Hi pals! Nice to meet you again ^_^ ! Well, during this Chinese New Year, I feel so peaceful and delightful as well! I visited my relatives’ houses and there we gave our warm greetings to each other, saying, “Kiong Hi!”. We enjoyed every snacks served by the host. My sister, younger brother, and I also received several Ang Paos from our elderly relatives. What a warm atmosphere! Afterwards, we just stay at home and enjoy our free time by watching movies!! Yihaa! <br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">
There is a movie I watched a few days ago (perhaps you’d watched it before). The title is <span style="color: #ff6600; font-weight: bold;">Dr. Seuss’ HORTON Hears a Who!</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">
<img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5570954454241760562" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjWVAB9mMUBYux27dNAw5500DIMJw4k5v9q_kcwEAswIrfOlnso2nF9kQTZpFS-cOwCM6FbzpIca6Wzeo84C73R4tOA49RWXmum0l7G-cj__41mtuAz4gkmP0ZR7thEYDpCA7Bl40Zsn4F/s320/Horton-Hears-a-Who.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; display: block; height: 256px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 320px;" /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">
<br />
It is not the latest movie but I truly recommend you to watch this, friends! It’s a great movie with hilarious animated characters and a simple but meaningful story. The main character is a lively witty elephant named Horton. He lives happily in the <st1:place st="on"><st1:placetype st="on">forest</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename st="on">Mount</st1:placename></st1:place> Nool together with other smaller (and eccentric-looking) animals. Albeit his huge size, he appears to be a kind-hearted and sensitive one compared to other friends in the neighborhood. Why? Because he’s the only one who can hear a tiny voice coming out from a speck of dust! Yup, the speck is blown to the forest and found by Horton. In fact, there is a community of super-duper microscopic creatures that live in the speck! They are called the Whos, who live in Whoville, with a Mayor as their chief. Besides having a big family (96 daughters and a son!), he has to bear the responsibility of being as great and honorable Mayor as his predecessors. Thus, his only son, Jojo, becomes his center of attention. However, Jojo is an introvert. He does not think his father can understand his way of thinking. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">
On the other hand, Horton the elephant is facing the threatening attitude from his neighbors toward him. A self-proclaimed Kangaroo, the main antagonist who always thinks Horton would give a bad example to the children, tries everything to make Horton deny about the existence of the Whos in the speck. In the struggle to protect the entire living beings in Whoville, Horton must find the safest place for the speck. The Whos, at the same time, have to work together to help Horton prove their existence to the “outer world”….</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">
This movie is actually derived from a story written by Dr.Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel), a famous American author who also wrote How The Grinch Stole Christmas. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">
Jim Carrey and Steve Carell, two famous comedian star as Horton and The Mayor. There is an inspiring quote as well as the moral from this movie : “A person’s a person, no matter how small.” Well, I hope this will be one of your favorite movies, don’t miss it!</div>

<div>
In this post, I would like to share something I watched from the TV. It's not about movie, but somethin' 'bout fashion...</div>
<div>
A few days ago, I watched an international news from CCTV Xin Wen, a China News Channel. There was a news about a brand named RE(f)USE which the products, like bags and accessories, are made of recycled stuffs! And actually it is found by one of the Fendi sisters, Ilaria Venturini Fendi! It's so cool right?! I think they have given a perfect name for the brand because they use materials which are thrown away or have been rejected by their owners, and then those unwanted things are recycled into valuable products until they are sold and reused again! These <span style="color: #33ff33;">'<strong>green</strong>'</span> products are not only stylish but also have contributed something good for the environment! The store/boutique is in Rome, Italy...so if you are interested with the products, better go there and buy some, haha.... <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiXkX0Eb7CJs48D2LrJtgZ7zVAmW09S-ehBu4bblwYBaXbsXbghq6dKNbq2vIaZWByVpjsn8cNfXEz2YOBeVQH-TdMcjdHb8tgDkYTrGsZQ23E_gfoqw2qECzLZzwc0cgvwxPpCatU_CKQ/s1600-h/fendi.jpg"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5437204415658018450" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiXkX0Eb7CJs48D2LrJtgZ7zVAmW09S-ehBu4bblwYBaXbsXbghq6dKNbq2vIaZWByVpjsn8cNfXEz2YOBeVQH-TdMcjdHb8tgDkYTrGsZQ23E_gfoqw2qECzLZzwc0cgvwxPpCatU_CKQ/s200/fendi.jpg" style="cursor: hand; float: left; height: 200px; margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; width: 150px;" /></a></div>

So I went shopping with my family, looking for new clothes because Chinese New Year is getting closer! I've also finished reading a novel, DRACULA-by Bram Stoker, and indeed, it is a nice story for my favorite character, <strong>Van Helsing</strong>, is in action! Haha... Unfortunately, I haven't, haha...but I will someday... Just now I read an interesting article from a local Chinese newspaper about this 3D sci-fi movie. It is written that AVATAR has become the world best-selling movie, with income higher than Titanic (which had remained in the first position for about 13 years and also directed by the same person, James Cameron)! <strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">TITANIC </span></strong>at last has to go down automatically to the second position, huhu....AVATAR and Mr. Cameron also win the Golden Globe Award and this movie will be nominated in Academy Award soon! </div><div>Even though AVATAR has gained this huge achievement, but Titanic is still leading in the total amount of the audience! Hoho...I have watched AVATAR trailer and I think the CGI effect is amazing! But I still do not know whether the plot is as good as Titanic or not...Yeah, certainly I must prove it myself! :) </div></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457083176577842702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3034459773426783475.post-76870414157326757372010-01-08T18:02:00.002+07:002010-01-08T18:07:52.732+07:00Wooohooo...Wew...<br />I have not made any progress since the last posting!<br />Wah, I've neglected my blog for a very long time...more than 2 months I think...<br />Finally now I've got a chance to write something! Lots of things to do and also because Facebook has attracted my attention from my blog, yah....more time for FB than blog...hehehe..<br /><div>Okay...yesterday midnight(about 12 o'clock), I still couldn't sleep at all so I went to the living room and watched TV. Coincidentally, I turned to one of the China's TV Channels, CCTV Xin Wen, then I was surprised to find out that at the same time, in Denmark, there was an official meeting to announce which country will have the opportunity to organize the next Olympic in 2016(after Olympic 2012 in London)!!!</div><br /><div>Woaaaahhh... every candidate representatives had come and waited for the result. All of them were so curious to know which country will get this Golden Ticket! At the meeting, I could see Mr. and Mrs. Obama, the Prime Minister of Japan, and other govermental members. The candidates which had applied for the Olympic 2016 are <strong>Brazil(Rio de Janeiro), Chicago, Tokyo(Japan, oh...I love this country so much...!), and Madrid</strong>. </div><br /><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388348754684952146" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 188px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy5xDMAG1cCscGjYvqk56Q_HSMacKJ-qy76dhHDDGaTEXxaJyGoTg7ho5alZkqJWYXG7BWAvK_b5hB1_AZaTZg3uTPS_EZCYx7_Jj1dLIorCeIYc48ZwUgQxpaSbUTHUakt8uy0H3HDX57/s200/OLYMPICS+2016.jpg" border="0" />Only Japan, who had had the experience in organizing such a great ceremony, I had also watched every ads about each countries....Oh! Not long after that, the chief ofthe Olympic Organization announced that Rio d'Janeiro wins! Whooooho! Every Brazil representatives jumped up and shouted in amazements! The Brazilians who had gathered at Copacabana beach to listen to this announcement, danced happily after this great news. This is also the first time for Brazil to hold this Olympic competition and of course, they must be well-prepared for it! :)<br /><div>Oh ya, today is also the day of <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Moon Cake Festival</span></strong>! Katanya, masih ada kesempatan lain kok, kegagalan dalam sebuah kompetisi adalah hal yang sangat biasa, so just TAKE IT EASY! Bukan cuma kamu (gue mksdnya..) yang gak terpilih kok, masih banyak yang laen, jadi jgn putus asa, bla...bla...bla... Hmm...ada benarnya juga sih....<br />YA OKELAH.....seperti yang tadi aku sebutin, LIFE MUST GO ON ! Bener gak? hwe..he..he...<br />>selamat buat yang udah jadi finalis ya! THE WORLD-SHOCKING NEWS!!!<div>I never imagine that 'this' will happen so fast...Jack-o has died! OMG! I can't believe it! I'm sure that all of you must have known this news right? This morning when I woke up, actually half-awake, I went to the kitchen to have breakfast. As usual, I took the newspaper and started to read it. But before I found the article of Michael Jackson's death, my Mom said to me :<br />"Hey, Michael Jackson a..." And I replied:<br />"Hah? What's wrong with him?" I still didn't care about his news, maybe another controversy again.<br />"<strong>He'</strong><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiusalremfpt70Qflq4IAApWIsl_oKQttMbCBGrr5rzKb6EALYR_C0HAzZ5ezPQ-ZjtZYa3YfK4mVoTutWW3iCTwkh5_dj_JEn2JhF1J27ogRUzsY7_q7zZjh1YHgTitvbaCwJPyqgCR59r/s1600-h/kaget.gif"><strong><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351957808469219170" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 50px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 50px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiusalremfpt70Qflq4IAApWIsl_oKQttMbCBGrr5rzKb6EALYR_C0HAzZ5ezPQ-ZjtZYa3YfK4mVoTutWW3iCTwkh5_dj_JEn2JhF1J27ogRUzsY7_q7zZjh1YHgTitvbaCwJPyqgCR59r/s200/kaget.gif" border="0" /></strong></a><strong>s died</strong>......." Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457083176577842702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3034459773426783475.post-5646132551782411972009-05-05T23:09:00.023+07:002009-05-07T21:25:43.933+07:00APRIL...It's an eventful month!!!Wew…, April…what a busy month for everybody! Not only for ‘the high schoolers’, who had just finished their National Final Examination (this really makes me remember the moment when I was in the Senior Year!), but also for me and my friends! Yet another assignment to do and the mid-term exams are enough to make my days even tougher and confusing, hehe…<br />But luckily, there were some events that can make me feel less miserable this passed April, for they were unique, exciting and informative! Now I’m glad to share them with you and it’s gonna be a long posting!<br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>On the fourth of April, I went to Suryo Street along with my Mom to attend The Jewelry Workshop, which was held by Rapid Education Consultant Medan and JDMIS(Jewellery Design&Management International School) from Singapore. We arrived there a few minutes after the scheduled time and we thought we were late, but it’s surprising that we found ourselves as the first comer! Then the staff led us to the workshop room (there was a table with many equipments and a slide-projector) but nobody was there except two of us! We took a seat and just kept waiting at the others. Suddenly two foreigners (‘bule’) came into the room. They started to greet us (“Thank you for coming, bla...bla…bla…”). I thought that it’s a rare opportunity to learn from the native speakers how they speak good English and I was the interpreter for my Mom, hehe :-)<br />Finally the other visitors(who had also reserved the seat like us) came and the workshop started. The two foreigners are British but they have been teaching in Singapore for years. One of them is Mrs. Tanya. She explained a lot of things related to Jewelry Design and about JDMIS institute in SG. For instance, about jewelry industries, the course modules, some jewelry modelling, history and trends, and descriptions about designers, Gemmology(the study of jewels/gemstones), also about JDMIS itself.<br />After the slide show, Mrs. Tanya started to perform her skills and techniques in making jewelries, like using metal clay (this clay is sold in SG and contains lots of tiny particles, a.k.a silver powder) to make a silver ring! I never knew that making a silver ring can be so much easier than I thought (if we have the materials)!! She also made a beautiful necklace with stringing method. I got some brochures and booklet for further details. After the workshop, we went to another room to see the jewelries exhibition. </div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmVzxw5txbZT245EStPgQFov5QX6INRhe3_nDTVEHlcrzpC2JUAIqucPMmtdVNfYqCFWVnGy2yPs6GMV4G54bxfpoqedj4ay2DEbNWyN3JMKEPA00bgSYtpUSDOhNhiIlV49PxLtbmKIdA/s1600-h/IMG_0333.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332375707550183458" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmVzxw5txbZT245EStPgQFov5QX6INRhe3_nDTVEHlcrzpC2JUAIqucPMmtdVNfYqCFWVnGy2yPs6GMV4G54bxfpoqedj4ay2DEbNWyN3JMKEPA00bgSYtpUSDOhNhiIlV49PxLtbmKIdA/s320/IMG_0333.jpg" border="0" /></a></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8Y6jvJ7K-keY1MZc5Zu6KqF4eGUPvcj42qSt1FXal62d1aJF3ntc-VjGgFNIZp_5rmtqTDopSCkjPHFxorhiN646OomrwUFdydfK6nUIWfKOuQxn7jvz2Nu85gu24TBN4WCVF4BE60wXA/s1600-h/IMG_0334.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332376388514263538" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8Y6jvJ7K-keY1MZc5Zu6KqF4eGUPvcj42qSt1FXal62d1aJF3ntc-VjGgFNIZp_5rmtqTDopSCkjPHFxorhiN646OomrwUFdydfK6nUIWfKOuQxn7jvz2Nu85gu24TBN4WCVF4BE60wXA/s320/IMG_0334.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmVzxw5txbZT245EStPgQFov5QX6INRhe3_nDTVEHlcrzpC2JUAIqucPMmtdVNfYqCFWVnGy2yPs6GMV4G54bxfpoqedj4ay2DEbNWyN3JMKEPA00bgSYtpUSDOhNhiIlV49PxLtbmKIdA/s1600-h/IMG_0333.jpg"></a> </div><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmVzxw5txbZT245EStPgQFov5QX6INRhe3_nDTVEHlcrzpC2JUAIqucPMmtdVNfYqCFWVnGy2yPs6GMV4G54bxfpoqedj4ay2DEbNWyN3JMKEPA00bgSYtpUSDOhNhiIlV49PxLtbmKIdA/s1600-h/IMG_0333.jpg"></a> </div><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div>Most of the jewelries were made by the students of JDMIS, cool huh?! It was a really nice day and I got something new from this event, the knowledge about the art of jewelry design! Oh ya, JDMIS also will make a short course for family to learn about jewelry design and you’ll get certificate after the course. I think it’ll open in June.</div><div>Next, the second event was on 18th and was held at USU! It was the Japanese Cultural Festival (Bunkasai)! What a great opportunity to know more about Japan, cool! It was also a coincidence because I didn’t know it was being held again in Medan until I read the article from Analisa newspaper. I must not miss this annual event!!! So I told my friend, Christine (halo Chris! Hehe..I know you are very fond of everything about Japan), and we arranged a meeting on the next day to visit USU! Yeah, there we saw a lot of things, it was very crowded too! There were some stands for bazaar, selling Japanese stuffs </div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSHFj7lcwIDvDFr7MMZ4qv944uopiLblr5NaDwOrFpo_1butOsVSXeG1uYpg9DXtPI-GGI7lUmUyxMRYzk5Zm_AgziryPWdrNrybCCfym6Bs09qLfTh7jA0ca5N8ypmL2-ojCillzKzvAr/s1600-h/IMG_0338.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332377790792085842" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSHFj7lcwIDvDFr7MMZ4qv944uopiLblr5NaDwOrFpo_1butOsVSXeG1uYpg9DXtPI-GGI7lUmUyxMRYzk5Zm_AgziryPWdrNrybCCfym6Bs09qLfTh7jA0ca5N8ypmL2-ojCillzKzvAr/s320/IMG_0338.jpg" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWGUNk0htY3tROqfPqvDd7VED0AsgPylxglIli2X0cJv69fY8-N06qeJ4Svbbs-rvzA4kFHp2xIfbeGzEMpCfz3yD06doxElmdTliK-S36gN4G6pHE4BrURpSX3NRGDgisrbuSB8CAXraJ/s1600-h/IMG_0337.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332377782080689570" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWGUNk0htY3tROqfPqvDd7VED0AsgPylxglIli2X0cJv69fY8-N06qeJ4Svbbs-rvzA4kFHp2xIfbeGzEMpCfz3yD06doxElmdTliK-S36gN4G6pHE4BrURpSX3NRGDgisrbuSB8CAXraJ/s320/IMG_0337.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div>and food, also band and cosplay performances(anime and harajuku style), we met a contestant with an awesome costume(from the anime: Rozen Maiden)</div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhCfZUl2xv4jj19P-R38YJxQpiC3LtJTeTuw4oJ2qr-R-L12Hy4be-lDe4CrucuP2OhhTW9gzo3HPt0P1rkTT-nwjHHJI_z0X-xeesLC3CRbkAxRbUijmjmP9M5xNbvoOWK1xMBa-xaUEI/s1600-h/IMG_0343a.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332378960334901170" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 277px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhCfZUl2xv4jj19P-R38YJxQpiC3LtJTeTuw4oJ2qr-R-L12Hy4be-lDe4CrucuP2OhhTW9gzo3HPt0P1rkTT-nwjHHJI_z0X-xeesLC3CRbkAxRbUijmjmP9M5xNbvoOWK1xMBa-xaUEI/s320/IMG_0343a.jpg" border="0" /></a> , yukata photography (so many people queue up only to take some pictures with yukata), <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNV1a_flQ4etnJujvuqqIYP67US8vMgrk8liImhdu9WH-IJSNeNceuAOTSfjhqGHMwAF-lNXNwbRHIlAgvK5dBlI2y82ZE8ikhmnU4_PElzrOk6B9ktHSiRdZ9xCloPucVUWKf2tXsfPUL/s1600-h/IMG_0340.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332380755529868946" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNV1a_flQ4etnJujvuqqIYP67US8vMgrk8liImhdu9WH-IJSNeNceuAOTSfjhqGHMwAF-lNXNwbRHIlAgvK5dBlI2y82ZE8ikhmnU4_PElzrOk6B9ktHSiRdZ9xCloPucVUWKf2tXsfPUL/s320/IMG_0340.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div></div><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div> </div><div>Japanese Ghost house, etc. We also watched Japan movie, the title is Gomen (Sorry) presented by The Japan Foundation. The story is about a boy, who is dealing with the problem of maturity and his first love to an older girl. It’s a funny movie actually but some dialogue and the acting of the kids were too bold! The main character can say something awful(jijay) without any hesitation! For me, it’s too weird for kids to do that! But after all it’s a nice movie. After several days of campaign with lots of posters, banners, billboards of campaigners, which you can find all around Medan, finally the time for the general election (Pemilu 2009) has come! Well, I chose the Caleg that my Dad support. There were also many people came to join the vote, most of them are from the nearest neighborhood. After giving a tick to the A3- sized papers, and put them into the box, I dipped my fingertip into the ink. Aaargh! now it looks weird with the <strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">Purple</span></strong> color on it! Haiya...I know it will be difficult to rinse it! But this day is a nice day for me. It's a day off for every people! I and my family also went to see some TPS around. Many acek-acek and a-i around, some of them was sitting at the kopi-tiam after joining the election, discussing about politics, etc. Haha.... after today there will be another holiday!<br />It's <strong><span style="color:#996633;">Easter Day</span></strong>! Yihaaa! This makes me remember about the Easter Bunny, Easter Eggs, etc. I also have a PC game, which the Easter Bunny becomes the victim, hehe...It's a horrible game, honestly!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457083176577842702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3034459773426783475.post-51641789474824425552009-03-22T15:53:00.008+07:002009-03-22T16:47:58.850+07:00Cocoa to chocolateYo! Blogging again!<br />Hwahahaha….This Sunday I feel relax bcoz my project for the afternoon class has been done on time. Then last week when my Mom was talking with the housekeeper, suddenly I heard from her that she planted some <strong><span style="color:#663333;">Cocoa bean</span></strong> at her small backyard of her house. Therefore, I asked her,”Bik, how does the inner part of Cocoa look like?”<br /><br /><div><div><div><div>She replied,”Oh, you can’t figure it out if I just decribed it to you. You must see it yourself. Maybe tomorrow I’ll bring it for you.”<br />“Hah? Really?! Gee, thanks!”I said. And she really did it. </div><br /><div>She said that there is a wide variety of Cocoa fruit growth in different places. Some of them have a reddish skin, some of them will be yellow if they are ripe. And this is the first time for me to see Cocoa in front of me! Very close to me! I wonder how this Cocoa can transform into the most delicious and famous <strong><span style="color:#663300;">Chocolate</span></strong>. There must be a long process until it can become Cocoa powder and even Chocolate.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCWc-uboh1PJw-6LaW3ouDsuuaVTuKT-rdLu5cOx4xc0saMw8352kOrLlPVpU4k16wJSvMbEk39Z6eW02kbKZW1mgjQrnyH5xnppUJhXKn3QuSJ8ljasEZDipm13MMF1iQefVMytnXRfZo/s1600-h/coklatutuh.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5315937000582301506" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCWc-uboh1PJw-6LaW3ouDsuuaVTuKT-rdLu5cOx4xc0saMw8352kOrLlPVpU4k16wJSvMbEk39Z6eW02kbKZW1mgjQrnyH5xnppUJhXKn3QuSJ8ljasEZDipm13MMF1iQefVMytnXRfZo/s320/coklatutuh.jpg" border="0" /></a></div><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><div>And after I cut it into two, I was quite ‘amazed’ when the seeds came out. (What the...?!)Hehehe...three(actually two, Saturday is a free day for college student like me...)holidays in-a-row! Enough for me to take a deep breath of relief after those final exam! <strong>Yeah</strong>, it's over!<br />But there are still some annoying assignments and tasks I have to do! Never mind-lah!<br />Oh ya, udah lama gak nge-blog... tapi akhir-akhir ini baca koran(rutinitas gue juga) banyak bgt kejadian2 yang Hhhhh....memprihatinkan...! Misalnya insiden di NTU, Singapore tuh! Weleh2!<br />Dan AKHIRNYA! Gue benar2 'mencair' setelah giliran gue selesai! Berhari-hari gue stress abiz gara-gara mikirin tuh! Makan, mandi, sampe 'boker' pun kepikir! Stress bgt! Pasalnya gue nih kalo harus berdiri di hadapan belasan orang sambil mempresentasikan sesuatu tuh, bagaimana kerasnya berlatih, tetap aja hasilnya grogi plus tersendat-sendat ngomongnya <strong>alias</strong> gagap non-permanen hehe...<br />Tapi teman-teman gue tuh bilang bagus karena gue ngomong pake bahasa Inggris(buat dapat nilai plus!), mungkin buat menghibur gue yang udah hampir 'menggila' karena depresi kali ya!<br />Ada teman gue yang maki2 dosennya gara-gara bikin dia mati gaya di depan kelas! Memang sih, presentasi dia kacau abiz...udah ruang kelasnya dingin bgt, tambah stress aja!<br />Well...gini deh uneg2 gue...sekian dulu ya, mo ngerjain tugas2 lain yang udah gak sabar nungguin gue, hehehe...Bye!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457083176577842702noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3034459773426783475.post-64075259445146083982009-02-15T15:01:00.012+07:002009-02-19T20:13:47.924+07:00THE WARMTH OF VALENTINEYesterday was Valentine day. It is a day that being ‘worshipped’ by almost everyone in the world. This is a <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">L-O-V-E</span></strong> day and usually identical to couples. But for those who are still single, hehe…can celebrate Valentine in many ways too, with friends and/or family.<br />Celebrating Valentine day doesn’t have to make a big party. A simple way will also become meaningful, like what my Mom did yesterday evening.<br /><br />Actually nothing special was happening until the sky became dark… I was using computer, my Dad was doing his tasks, my Sister and little brother was watching TV. We were too busy with our ‘business’ and didn’t pay attention to my Mom in the kitchen, preparing dinner for us. Then suddenly she came to the living room and brought a special menu for us! A <strong><span style="color:#ff6600;">heart-shaped</span></strong> steam rice with corn, shitake mushroom and pork. And after we arrived there (that day was a very lucky day, we got a strategic parking place in front of the temple when so many visitors were also looking for it!) I was totally amazed to see how magnificent it is!!! Hundreds of light bulbs made the temple looked so beautiful! We were also welcomed by two gigantic statue of China’s legendary creatures, <strong>Qi Ling</strong>(It has a body of Lion and head of Dragon) in front of the Vihara. After we got inside, thousands of Chinese people had already come to enjoy the atmosphere! No matter old or young, all of them looked very happy!<br />There were also some unique and fun spots, like <strong>a wishing tree</strong>. It is a Cherry blossom tree, actually. Lots of papers with wishes from visitors were attached to the branches. We visitors, can used a long stick prepared by the temple to hang up our papers to the highest branch we could reach! Beside of the wishing tree, there is a big statue of smiling <strong>Buddha Maitreya</strong>. Many people prayed for His blessings and touched His feet, belly, or big pocket to ask for luck! It’s so unique, I think, and also the first time for me to see that! :) We also met my forth uncle, grandmother, and my cousins there! Oh ya, there were a lot of beautiful fireworks which were not only enjoyed by Chinese people who celebrate Cap Go Meh Festival but also many people with different religion had come to enjoy the atmosphere! That night, all of us really had a lot of fun under the <strong>bright full moon</strong>!<br /><strong>N.B:</strong> Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my pocket camera that night so I can’t take the pictures of those happy moments… huhu…X(Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457083176577842702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3034459773426783475.post-31763274445273278222009-02-03T20:12:00.006+07:002009-02-03T20:33:39.101+07:00Confused...<strong>Hhhh....</strong><br />After those holidays, I think I should be ready to deal with my activities again, like going back to campus. But this morning I was astonished because nobody was in the class! It made me think again and again, I was not late to class and based on the announcement, college activities will be started again on 2nd of February, what the hell is happening actually?! This morning I've wasted some money on the street and then going home with disappointment and felt hopeless!<br />Now I'm confused of whether I should go to college again tomorrow but I'm afraid that today's incident will be repeated again....hopefully not! Postingan pertama tahun 2009! Udah tanggal segini nih…tapi….IMLEK sudah dekat!!! (Yup, Chinese New Year is approaching! What have I prepared ya? Of course THE RED POCKET <angpao> is the most wanted item in this Festival, hehe! And the Cow will be the next icon in 2009! Mmooooooo…!) GOSH!<br />It’s quite hard to believe that today is the end of 2008! A tough year, isn’t it? Well…this makes me ponder for a while, what have I done for this year?What are the good or bad things I’ve done in 2008? All of the good deeds should be maintained and improved but the bad ones must be reduced and decreased! This afternoon, my Mom, my sister, and me were busy enough bcoz we cleaned the entire house due to the next Chinese New Year. It’s really full of dust…but the cleaning process was quite fun, hehe…I found some ‘neglected’ stuffs that were kept for a long time in the cupboard and drawer….<br />2009 is approaching, very close to us now...what will happen in this coming New Year? Hope everything will be better, including the global economic condition, hahaha…. By the way, have you made any New Year’s resolutions? It’s the time for us to CHANGE! It’s a new beginning! Yeah, I’ve made some planning and I wish I can achieve success and something great from them, hehe…I also hope that all of your planning and wishes will be accomplished too!<br />After all, in this 2009, we must dare to be different (in a positive way)!</span> <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY!!!</span></strong>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457083176577842702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3034459773426783475.post-53458584332484608292008-12-25T11:56:00.000+07:002008-12-25T12:29:38.818+07:00ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS.....<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5283593706620480482" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLVpVPWtLFfWl05gMdFd4uawVtPHIS46c1HmLxBaebGAijDRwZzImOC3Fsfi5nfXv3WoW3eVg1-xjObZ8ag6nTtgRz1OpUeAHutZW_aFlDWT4mI2ydwS8jfUNliC8l9S29mmn7AK_Ex9ET/s320/ntl.jpg" border="0" /><br /><div><strong><span style="color:#cc0000;">HOOOOORAYYYY...........!!!!!</span></strong></div><br /><div><span style="color:#330099;">Christmas has come! This wonderful and peaceful day has come to the Earth, to all of people! </span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#330099;">Btw, now I still feel a bit sleepy because yesterday (<span style="color:#ff0000;">Christmas EVE</span>), I went to Gereja Kristus Raja, a Catholic church across Medan Mall Plaza, along with my little brother, aunt, and cousins, and until about <strong>1 o'clock</strong> <strong>midnight</strong> I finally returned home. </span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#330099;">We went there about seven o'clock...I thought it's still early...but after we arrived I was surprised to see so many people had come and filled all the seats! Hhh...well, then we just took a seat at the second floor. It's difficult to see the whole process and we only can listen to it. </span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#330099;">But...yeah, the ceremony was simple and nice...we enjoyed the choir, the song, and we prayed a lot there. </span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#330099;">From church we didn't go home directly. My aunt brought us to have a snack(actually supper) at Merdeka Walk... It's very nice! I ordered Mc'D's Gourmet Wrap. It's a warm and delicious meal in the cold weather last night! Thanks to my aunt, hehehe.... </span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#330099;">After all....it was a wonderful Christmas eve and <strong>I hope this wonderful Christmas Day will bring miracles and happiness to ALL OF US! </strong></span></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457083176577842702noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3034459773426783475.post-55692463805639016142008-12-09T23:46:00.000+07:002008-12-25T11:48:00.404+07:00AWESOME !!!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5283583091707228706" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 216px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1nAGMNfc0hChzxYf8DzeZBoFaOVDGpieqzGmFvzyKo0rO87DJWmFi8dfZaIGFLc4r3LtyvwgmXrGolnOJe466aziqZQRTXqQ7pEPi8C69Yp9E8guaxPIwt7G6d8k4Rn5lYXyQsQJqrcxH/s320/twilight.jpg" border="0" /> This is not the only feeling or expression I had after I watched <strong><span style="color:#000099;">Twilight</span></strong> yesterday. It is a <span style="color:#cc33cc;">romantic</span> and <span style="color:#33cc00;">fantastic</span> movie! Very Nice! :) I think you shouldn’t miss it! At least you can buy the DVD if you don’t have any free time to enjoy it in cinema or maybe you just read the novel(by Stephenie Meyer). I think it is also the same.<br /><div><strong>Edward Cullen</strong> (the protagonist, acted by Robert Pattinson) is really a cool guy! Hahaha….. But his face is so pale and he has red lips (too much lipstick, I think, haha..) He and his family are a kind of vegetarian vampire (how come?almost impossible!) and only hunt for animals. But all of the vampires in the film still can be active under the sunlight! I think vampires shouldn’t have this kind of power although the Cullens has their own special ability! For example, Edward can read minds(except Bella’s mind) and his sister can predict future.<br /><strong>Isabella 'Bella' Swan</strong>, a pretty but introvert girl(the main character in the film, acted by Kristen Stewart) arrived in Forks, because her mother had married again, and live with her father, Charlie, a Forks police officer. She never expected to fall in love with a vampire until one day when Edward saved her from an accident. But after all she didn’t afraid to him and the Cullens also treat her like one of their family members.<br />There is another important character in the movie, <strong>Jacob Black</strong> from the Quilutes. Actually he is a werewolf but in this first movie he doesn’t have many ‘appearance’ and we can’t see his transformation! Perhaps in the sequel we can find it!<br />At last….after this short description, I recommend you to watch this movie! It’s terrific! <strong><span style="color:#990000;">Two thumbs up</span></strong>! Haha…</div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457083176577842702noreply@blogger.com3
